Scuba Club takes on Santa Cruz Island- November Conception boat dive

Way back in November I went on one of the Cal Poly Scuba Club boat dive trips through Truth Aquatics. We were aboard the Conception, leaving early Friday morning and pulling back into the Santa Barbara docks late Saturday afternoon.

(i’ll update with the dive sites once I remember to look it up in my dive log book)

It was a beautiful day, and we saw some awesome creatures (including an electric ray!) , ate some delicious grub, relaxed on the deck, watched dolphins “surf” next to the boat and enjoyed a warm, vibrant sunset at the end of a fun day of diving!

Here are some pictures from the trip:

( includes members of the dive club, the electric ray, Santa Cruz Island, strawberry anenomes (i think) sponges, kelp, the boat deck, and the sunset)

It’s been a while…

Well, here I am again. It’s been far too long since i’ve shared my adventures here on the central coast with you. That happens far too often in life, people get so caught up in living it that the simple pleasures, like writing this blog, go forgotten.

Anyways, even if my blogging habits have gone downhill, my love of the central coast, and California, is still going strong. The coast, the mountains, the sunshine- it’s all grand.

So, in an attempt to reconnect with Central Coast Outdoors, I ask you to get prepared for long-overdue posts on diving the channel islands, slacklining in the park, Catalina Island adventures, outdoor escapes, night-hikes and more!

Happy reading,
